Elm Creek Equine Vet Services- Oakbank
Our Oakbank Hospital is designed for short-term patient stays including medical colic care, intravenous therapy, and standing surgeries. Our treatment stocks provide the perfect environment for most outpatient procedures including routine and advanced dental care, gastroscopy, upper airway endoscopy, reproductive procedures and minor surgeries.

Colic Care
Our Oakbank Hospital has been designed for medical management of colics - we are well equipped to administer fluids, monitor case progression and treat abdominal discomfort. Our vets are well trained to recognize signs of surgical colic and facilitate prompt referral.
Gastroscopy
Equine gastric diseases including EGUS, EGGD, pyloric obstructions and esophageal disorders are well recognized diseases in horses. Elm Creek Equine offers gastroscopy to diagnose these lesions and prescribe appropriate therapy. Patients are welcome to board overnight prior to their appointment to ensure appropriate fasting.

Dr. Dunlop at Elm Creek Equine - Oakbank has a special interest in equine ophthalmology. We offer advanced ocular diagnostics including fundic exams and intra-ocular pressures. Dr. Dunlop has an excellent referring relationship with equine ophthalmologists in Calgary and works alongside these specialists to best manage your horse's advanced eye conditions. Hospitalization for intensive equine ophthalmology cases is available in Oakbank and Elm Creek.
